TOPCON Positioning Systems, Inc. officially announced the launch of the GR-3 GNSS receiver.  This is the first of what will be a complete lineup of new systems that will utilize their new advanced Paradigm-G3 chip (GPS, Glonass, and Galileo).  The GR-3 receiver represents the next generation of advanced system design and tracking technology from Topcon.

The GR-3 features 72 “Universal” channels that support all current and planned satellite positioning signals.  The GR-3 is encased in a light-weight, magnesium “I” beam post construction housing for unbeatable strength & durability.  This unit also features an easily accessible SD card memory and dual hot-swappable batteries for unlimited continuous operation.

The all new GR-3 incorporates a dual communication system allowing for both cellular and radio technology.  It is equipped with a 915 MHz Spread Spectrum internal Tx/Rx radio without OAF range limits.  In addition, you have the option of using the GSM/GPRS modem system via the cellular SIM card slot.

The new receiver also offers the user the ability to install their own memory cards for static applications.  Simply use the well protected card slot provided and instantly you have the memory you need.  Of course the GR-3 has wireless operation to all Topcon data collectors utilizing the internal Bluetooth technology.
