There in no better way to demonstrate Topcon Technology in positioning and guidance than a real world application on an active jobsite and that is exactly what Topcon California Tustin did with their participation in the California Big Iron Expo on May 1-3, 2007.           

The expo is a joint effort between four RDO Equipment Company John Deere Stores (Riverside, Poway, Indio and Imperial), and Vermeer Pacific stores (Fontana, San Marcos, and Rancho Dominguez).

Holding the event on a worksite gives attendees a chance to “get dirty” by operating a viewing firsthand what the equipment can do.  “Customers will have the chance to ride and drive over 25 different machines and will also have an opportunity to talk to factory product specialists about the particular equipment they are interested in,” says Rick Ayers, General Manager in RDO Equipment Co.-Riverside.

Topcon California automated a John Deere 850J with Twin Antenna, a John Deere 210 LE skiploader with slope and laser control and a Vermeer T955 Trencher.  All machines received rave reviews for their functionality, simplicity and production improvement. 

The show produced almost 400 customers from over 250 companies with daily BBQ lunches and cold beverages during the 3 sunny days at the riverside jobsite.  The venue concluded Thursday evening at the Vendor Appreciation night with slide show presentation of customers and vendors enjoying themselves over the Big Iron Expo event.  We look forward working with RDO Equipment and John Deere to provided positioning solutions with the new IGC system (Integrated Grade Control) today and in the future.
