Topcon California was invited to put on a 3 hour GPS seminar for 75 participants from the Northern California Surveyors Joint Apprenticeship program held on January 6, 2007 in Castro Valley.  The attending crowd was enthusiastic and very interested in the latest developments in GPS technology.

The classroom session was followed by field demonstrations showing the systems in full operation.  Many standard field applications were discussed and performed demonstrating the ease and flexibility of Topcon’s latest GPS equipment

The products featured in the field exercise included the all new GR-3 receiver, HiPer Lite+ receiver and the MMGPS system.  As you can see from the pictures, we had a very interested audience.  It was a great learning opportunity mixed in with a lot of fun!

This was a very successful outing for all concerned.  The attendees were exposed to GPS theory and practical applications as well as having the opportunity to see first hand state-of-the-art Topcon GPS gear in action!
